However, if the leader arrives after …” 6.51 Add: A Force that is Disorganized or Useless may not participate in an Interception. 6.54 Rivers: Should read: “Add one (+1) for each river hex side crossed by the Intercepting Force to reach the moving enemy.” 6.62 Clarification: Roads do not negate the effects of rivers for this rule. 7.15 Example: The naval superiority level in the Mare Africum should read +1/-1 8.17: Replace the last two sentences with: “Any Elite SP that are detached or split off in any way from the current force are replaced by non-Elite SP of the same Contingent and Type.” 8.2 Step #1: Should read: “The Attacker announces he is attacking the enemy force in the same hex. If the Attacker moved into the hex, he checks for Attrition first.” 8.2 Step #4: Should read: “If the attack has been joined, both players check for Coordination (8.26), if possible and desired.” 8.25: 2nd sentence should read” Coordination attempts take place after the opposing player’s Continuation die roll.” 8.34 Legions: add the following: "Legions that have no SP remaining are removed from the map." 8.36 Play Note: The player should recalculate the Combat Ratio Adjustment and Cavalry Superiority DRM to account for SP losses incurred from Elephant Commitment. 8.37: Mandatory Retreats: Exception: A Force that must retreat can retreat into a friendly city in the same hex. A Force may not detach SP during a retreat. 8.38 Clarification: The Example should include only the first sentence. If there is no senior leader, the Sacking player picks the leader of his choice.” 9.82: Delete “The total number of SP that can be placed inside a city is limited to 20 times (20x) the city’s IDS.” There is no stacking limit. 11.23: Add: “A player may at any time voluntarily relinquish control of any friendly unoccupied city. RRR 5.34 “Leader Movement” should read “Leader or Force Movement”. And add the following: “If using Force Movement, the magistrate may not use a Stop until he reaches his assigned province.” RRR 5.36 (New) Magistrates are placed in the same hex the previous office holder was last in with the following exceptions: • Dictator is always placed in Rome • Magister Equitum is placed in Rome or with any Consular Army • Field Consul that is not assigned a province is placed in Rome If such a criterion does not exist (a former consul was prorogued), place the leader with any force in their province of assignment or in Rome. RRR 5.41 Clarification: The active leader is for all Senate permission determinations. Thus the Consul for Rome can carry the Proconsul for Apulia without the Proconsul asking permission RRR 5.41 Exception #1: Add: “If the Field Consul is placed in Rome, he is free to move anywhere in Roman Italy.” RRR 5.41 Exception #3: Add after the first sentence: “A magistrate may also leave without permission as the result of a successful Interception or Coordination.” RRR 5.42 Exceptions: Delete the fourth bullet item. RRR 5.43: Change reference to RRR 10.41. If there is no senior leader, the capturing player picks the leader of his choice.” RRR 10.26: Add the following at the end of the case: "If the there are no Legions present, Legion SP may not be picked up. Legion SP can be detached, however, the dropped off SP must be drawn as evenly as possible form the Legions present in the force that have more than one SP. A Legion cannot detach its last SP. “ The Scenarios Etruria: As noted in the PIC, the two Etrurias are treated is a single province for diplomatic control. However, they are separate provinces for purposes of military control. The player with diplomatic control may no longer raise manpower if either province controlled militarily by another player. A player without diplomatic control must control both provinces to raise manpower. Conquest of Central Italy Scenario Tribal Revolt Table: The Campania Row is incorrect. Gauls: If the Gauls Augury event is rolled while the Gauls are on the map, treat the result as No Event. Gauls are treated as Samnites for the purposes of incursion. Samnite Leaders: Add to the last paragraph: “The Samnite player designates one of the two selected leaders as the Overall Commander for that game turn.” Provincial Information Chart: Tarentum should read Calabria First Alexander Invasion Scenario Samnite Leaders: Add to the last paragraph: “The Samnite player designates one of the two selected leaders as the Overall Commander for that game turn.” The Eagle Has Landed Scenario Initial Deployments: Pyrrhus is the Epirote Overall Commander. Thunderbolt Scenario Initial Deployments: Hannibal is the Carthaginian Overall Commander. Special Rules, Consuls: Add: Either consul may use the Manpower Operation, but not both. In all other cases where a rule or table makes the distinction, treat both consuls as Field consuls. Consul/Proconsuls may be prorogued to their assigned consular army. Provincial Control: Delete the 1st paragraph. Victory: The first sentence of the 2nd paragraph should read: “The Carthaginian player wins if he controls any seven contiguous provinces in Roman Italy that begin the game with an Alliance Level in favor of Rome … . For victory purposes, Northern and Southern Etruria are counted as separate provinces.” Provincial Information Chart: Note a refers to Campania Yearly manpower.
