Alea

These are the English rules for the games found in the Spanish magazines Alea and Soldados y Estrategia. They are published by Ludopress of Spain, who's web site is here:

Each rule translation is an RTF (with .doc extension) document within ZIP-compressed file.

The Games

• Nordkapp.zip (32kb) : English rules and tables for the game Nordkapp, found in issue #29 of Alea. DOC and PDF files.
• Alea25.zip (1.5mb) : Counters, maps, and scenario rules found in Alea #25, which contained additional scenarios for Decision Games' Thirty Years Quad. The scenarios are The Battle of the Dunes and The Battle of Montjuich. The zip file includes RTF rules (only scenario rules, not the full rules for the Quad), JPG of the counters and 2 PDFs of the maps.
• Gazala-Tobruk - published both Alea #9 (with mounted counters) and later in Soldados y Estrategia #8, with better graphics but unmounted counters. Link to the game page is here: Gazala-Tobruk in S&E. [Zipped RTF file - 22kb]
• End of Empire: Santiago 1898 : The game found in Soldados y Estrategia #9. [Zipped RTF file - 20kb]

• Almansa 1707 Errata Counters- Corrected counters for Almansa 1707. [PDF File - 1.4mb]
• Morocco.zip - English rules for the game found in Alea #12, The End of Abd-el-Krim - Morocco 1926. [DOC file - 14kb]
• Africa1859.zip - English rules, accompanying article, and designer notes for the game Africa 1859, as found in Alea #28. [RTF files - 36kb]
• CivExpansion.zip - English rules for the game found in Alea 21, an expansion for AH's Civilization. [RTF file - 10kb]
• Libertadores.zip - English rules for the game found in Soldados y Estrategia #10. New file includes both CRTs and a translation CRT as well as the rules. [DOC file - 16kb]
